How can I put the pagefile.sys on an external usb hard disk?

XP Pof. ignores the settings and put it on internal hard disk. I have not
boot from internal hard disk. C: is a primary and the active partition on the
external storage but XP put the pagefile.sys on D:. This is the first
partition of my internal hard disk.
I want sent the internal storage back to the vendor, so it would be great if
there is a possibility.

You don't have to have a pf. In Properties of My Computer Advanced Tab
Performance Group, Settings Button, Advanced Tab, Virtual Memory Group,
Change Button. You can set no pagefile, or move it to a different disk.

The pagefile needs to always have access to a storage system and usually must
follow where XP is installed. Since you can not install XP onto a USB or
Firewire drive, then NO, you can not place the pagefile on an external USB
drive.

It is possible! It was not esay, because of the usb driver, but I run XP
from an external usb drive. But until now I have only the possibilties to
have the pagefile onto internal drive or if I remove it, then I have no
pagefile and get an errormessage.
If then the main storrage is full, the computer crashes :(.
