How can I put email addr. from contacts to Address book

After a disaster recovery, I have my contacts folder, but there is no address
book. I get this message when trying to open the AB.

The address book could not be diplayed. The contact folder associated with
this address list could not be opened. It may have been removed or deleted,
or you do not have permissions
