Every now and then Windows 2000 decides to arrange my
desktop icons, and i have to manually go drag them back to
the layout i'm used to. I have tried Locking them, but it
still happens now and then. Can i prevent this somehow?

(We're also running Zenworks Novell Application Explorer,
which places two icons onto the desktop, so i suppose it's
possible that NAL is doing it, except that i've also seen
it happen at home on my WinME machine where there is no
Novell.)

Interesting site, but in this case we're running Windows
2000, which doesn't have any of that Desktop Cleanup stuff
that XP added ... Any other ideas?
