How can I prevent the brackets display in form fields

I have created a template and inserted fields, in some cases I copied the
same field but to a different location. I noticed that some of the fields
have brackets. How can I prevent these brackets from displaying?

Does this mean that some of your field codes are showing and some
aren't? If you select a field where the braces are showing, does Shift-
F9 hide them?
