How can I open *.CWI files in Word?

In early 90s, most of the Chinese document were prepared by the "Comet Word
I" word processor and save in the format of *.CWI. May I know if I can open
this type of files again by using Microsoft Word?

Having done a brief search it looks doubtful that you'll find *anything*
that will open those files - even the most versatile conversion app I know
of (Conversion Plus - DataViz) doesn't make mention of that file type:-(

Other than trial & error or hunting down the originator, the only suggestion
I can offer is from within Word's Open dialog go to the Files of Type list
at the bottom & choose Recover Text from Any File. That may allow you to
recover the text & Save As a Word doc but you'll most certainly lose any
formatting as well as other aspects of the files.
