How can I move the frame for the slide in a handout master templa.

I am trying to move the slide "holder" in a single slide handout master
template.

I can move the placeholders for numbering etc. but not the slide location.

You simply can't adjust the slide holder.
Consider exporting your presentation to Word (File - Send to - Microsoft
Word), choose a model with one slide and empty lines. In Word you will be
able to adjust.
