how can I move a safe email from a spam folder to my inbox?

I have tried several times today to move an email from a safe contact from my
sapm folder to my inbox. I have even added the sender to my safe list. It
seems that every time i go to move the email it does not show up in my inbox
and ends up back in the sapm folder. What should i do. I use hotmail as my
email server and link to it using outlook.

I was going to suggest that you are reexecuting a rule that moves the
message back into the spam folder except that rules are not exercised on
HTTPmail accounts, like for Hotmail.

So, do you have any anti-spam software installed that might be tagging or
committing actions against mail items within Outlook? Outlook won't move
anything unless an add-on or rule tells it to do so. You never mentioned
WHICH version of Outlook that you are using.
