How can I make Outlook downsize into the system tray?

I am using outlook mostly for the calendar and pop up reminders. So in order
to use the reminders and have them pop up for you, you must have outlook open
and running. I am wondering for when I "X out" of outlook or downsize it, how
I can make it go into the system tray instead of outlook closing on me?

Right Click the Icon that is in the System Tray. Select "Hide when
minimized"

Use "Minimize _" not "Close X", you can specific in the contextmenu
from the tray if you want a taskbar entry too.

(Outlool 2003 and above, no idea about earlier versions)

(NO, don't ask me why MS handle the _ and X button different in MS
products...)

But that only works for Outlook 2003 and later - the OP failed to tell us
what Outlook version they are using....
