How can I make one line appear at a time

I've set up my bullet points, but I want them to appear one at a time during
my presentation. How do I do that? Thanks

If you select the text placeholder by clicking on its border and then apply
the entrance animation it will normally default to on click lines which is
what you need. If you highlight all the text it will usually default to all
together.

this requires that you do each line separately? drilling deep down into the
menu each time? is there no way to set the whole slide up to appear one line
at a time for all levels of text?

Try adding the animation to the text placeholder on the master (view ->
master -> slide master)
