How can I make bulleted columns in part of a paper?

I am trying to make columns in just part of a paper and I want to use bullets
in all three columns. Does anybody know how to do it??
 
After you've formatted the portion of text into three columns, just apply
bullets as usual.
 
I've tried to do that but it still doesn't work. I have a list of things that
I want bulleted but I want them to appear side by side with bullets. Do you
know how to do that?
 
You can use tabs to create columns and insert the bullets manually if the
items are very short. Otherwise, I would use snaking columns. If you apply
the List Bullet style, you should get bullets. Are you sure each item is in
its own paragraph?
