how can I keep sound in sync with slides when changing computers

I created a presentation with nearly 200 slides. The soundtrack (which
contains narration and music) is on slide two. When I save it as a PowerPoint
Show to distribute it, the sound is off. It doesn't seem to be reliably off
so that I could just add a delay and make it work either. On some slides it
is important that the timing be right. Is there a way to fix this? Also, the
folks I made it for are going to want to post it on their website, is that
going to be a whole new set of problems?

If you need to sound to be absolutely synced with the start of the slide,
convert the sound to a WAV file and insert it as a transition sound - the
timing shall be exact on all PowerPoint versions.

Another advantage of using a transition sound is that the sound will be
embedded within the presentation - so it is going to be less of a problem if
you need to provide the presentation for download from a web site.
