Hi,
Is there any way that I can join a domain with XP Home? I notice that I can
only change the workgroup name. I am trying to set up a link to Exchange
Server for a shared calendar system and want outlook to connect without
having to type in the password everytime so I need to join the same domain
as the server. Do i need to upgrade to XP Pro to do this or is there a work
around or download?
Cheers
Lenny

A. No. Only XP Pro can join a domain. You'll need to upgrade.

You cannot join a domain with XP Home. You can use domain resources.
Here's a good link about it:

To enable joining a Domain, you will need to upgrade to XP Pro.

WinXP Home is not designed to, nor can it truly be made to, join a
WinNT, Win2K or Win2K3 domain.

However, domain resources, such as shared folders on the servers,
or printers, can be manually accessed by properly authenticated users
on WinXP Home machines.
