How can I insert an Excel file into a Word document?

T

I have a Word document created. I would like to insert an Excel file in the
Word document, so that when any user opens up the Word document, they can
click on that icon and go to the Excel spreadsheet. I'm not sure how to do
this. Also, if I store the Excel spreadsheet on my personal drive (in my
network), will everyone else be able to click on the icon and access the
Excel document? Everyone else does not have access to my personal drive.
Thanks

Copy the part of the spreadsheet to the clipboard, then at the location in
Word where you want the icon to appear, use Paste>Special and select
Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Objectc from the As: list and check the
Display as icon box.

If you want other people to be able to open the worksheet, do NOT check the
Paste link button.
