How can I fix this?/Add-Remove Program Problem

I made the mistake of removing Norton Anti Virus 2007 by using the Norton
Removal Tool without using the Add/Remove function in control panel. I then
installed another security suite but the firewall module would not function.
A check of Windows Security Centre shows that it is still seeing Norton as
well as the new program. I'm fairly sure I've removed all traces of Norton
from my system. How can I fix this?

Reinstall Norton; Re-remove Norton per instructions on the Symantec site.

Yes, but a simple Remove should suffice. You probably won't have to jump
thru any special hoops to accomplish it.
