How can I find out if my windows XP is 32 or 64 bit edition ?

Hi !

I want to download the security patch for Windows XP to
protect my computer from phase to of the MSBlast.exe
virus, but download locations for the patch shows two
different version of Windows XP, 32 bit edition and 64
bit edition.

How can I find out if my windows XP is 32 bit or 64 bit
edition ?

Can someone please help me.

Get the 32-bit patch. Go to start, run, and type Winver <enter>. If you
see XP Home it is 32, and if it is PRO and there is no mention of 64-bit
code, it is 32 bit.

Unless you have a $5000 computer (the new Itanium chip is
64 bit), chances are you are running 32bit.
