how can i erase an undeletable file/folder

There is a folder in my desktop which cannot be erased by any means i know.
I've tried everything i know of(setting attributes right, using "erase next
boot" program) but i always get an error message that the file cannot be
found. yet it's there. Please help!

whats it called?

boot in safemode command prompt, & try from there.

boot into recovery console & try from there.
