Open Outlook Express, click the Tools menu, click Accounts, click the Add button, click
Mail, and fill in the wizard. When you type in your Hotmail email address all of the
server Information will be automatically added. Remember, although Hotmail looks like a
POP3 email account in Outlook Express, it's still a web browser email service emulating
POP3. That's why the Hotmail folders are below the folders for the POP3 email accounts.

Hotmail relies heavily on cookies. Have you blocked cookies? Are your security settings
correct? If you just started to have the problem, have you tried using System Restore,
and selecting a Restore Point from the day before the problem started? (Start button/All
Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore, Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time)

To configure...

Hotmail ([email protected]) accounts:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=220852

MSN ([email protected]) accounts:
http://help.msn.com/!data/en_us/dat...gureOutlookExpressToSendAndReceiveMSNMail.htm

Any mail that you want to save in OE from Hotmail, move them to folders
created by you. OE mirrors the Hotmail website, so if you delete in
Hotmail, it will disappear from OE.
