How can I disable the automated numbering for my product informat.

I am trying to input my inventory with access and it will not let me put in
my own product id # it continues to use an automated #. How can I get it to
use my product #it also will not let me use my # under catagory either???

It sounds like you may have put the ProductID in an Autonumber field.
Change it to either Number (Long Integer) or Text. What is the
datatype of Category, and why would you want to put a product ID into
a Category field?
