How Can I Disable Printers from Auto Detecting

Can anyone answer this question for me. Have other users
with Windows XP and there machines keep detecting
multiple copies of my shared printer. Is there anyway to
stop this.

me.

This is a bit of problem with no fix that is quaranteed to work that I know
of.

instructions that often do the trick.
