How Can I Delete Volume Shadow Copy from C: Drive

Glen

Recently I backed up my C: drive, which is about 13GB, to an external Disk
using the Backup program contained in my Home Premium. After a few days, I
deleted it from my external disk as I now intend to use Acronis. However I
noticed my C: Drive now contains about 29GB and I have not added any
software. I think it may be the Volume Shadow Copy that I've read about in
this NG but I don't seem to be able to delete it or to bring my C: Drive
back to it's normal usage amount of 13GB. This may have been covered before
but I can't locate the solution. Can anyone tell me how to restore my C:
Drive?? Thanks!!

Use Disk Cleanup to delete all but the latest System Restore Points.

Press WINKEY+R and type cleanmgr.exe and press OK.
Select Files from all users on this computer.
Leave all of the default check boxes selected.
Click the More Options Tab.
In the System Restore and Shadow Copy section, select the Clean Up button.
In the confirmation box, select the Delete button.
Click OK.

I don't recommend turning System Restore off because this can help to
recover recent files created between the times when you run Acronis.

Everything is ok now and I feel much better knowing how to manage my restore
points/size. Thanks to both you, Ronnie and the link to the great web site.
