How can I delete IE6 and go back to IE5

I have updated to IE6/SP1 and find it to be slower then
when I was using IE5.5/SP2. It takes longer to load pages
and hangs sometimes. I am usind fast access DSL. When I
try to reload IE5.5, I'm told it can't because I have a
newer version. It also won't let me delete in add/remove.

Of course if you have WinXP you can't go back to IE 5.5.
