How can I delete from the error log? and ???

Hi
Does anyone know what this is? I average 3 to 5 errors a
day from Service Control Manager (source) - The mrtRate
service failed to start due to the following error: The
system cannot find the file specified.
Also... I have over 200 errors on one day (when I
downloaded a patch from Microsoft causing system crashes
all day..crash problem is fixed) they read...
Service Control Manager(source)- The Application
Management service terminated with the following error:
The specified module could not be found.
Both messages are copied from the error log.

Can I delete all these message from my Advanced System
Information - Error Log? How can I find where/what
mrtRate is...and get rid of it?

XP
NIS is running (mrtRate may have come on new computer?)
No spy ware... do I need it?

Thanks
Sheila

Hi,

Mrtrate is a Quicken file. Either disable it from loading in the startup
group (start/run msconfig, go to the startup tab) or uninstall it if you
aren't using it. Quicken products frequently come bundled on new machines.
