How can I create a custom envelope size and set it as the default

I am trying to send some invitations, by printing the address on the
envelopes. How do I can the default envelope size to a custom size and have
it stay until I change it?

Word is not good with custom paper sizes. It is simpler to use the next
larger size and adjust the margins to give the required appearance when

I would, however, recommend that you create an envelope template for this
job. There are some samples to play around with on the downloads page of my
web site.
