I am trying to determine if there is a way to count the number of times a
specific word is used in a lengthy document. I know how to use word count
for total number of words; but I cannot determine how, if possible, to count
a specific word.

Thanks for any help.

Use Find and Replace to search for the word and replace with ^&. Replace
All. When the Replace operation is completed, Word will tell you how many
replacements it made.

Do a "Find" in your Word document and ensure that "Highlight all items found
in:" has a checkmark. You may also want to select under "More", "Find whole
words only". Do a "Find all". Once it has found all the occurances a message
appears above the "Find All" box that shows the occurances of the word you
searched for.
