How can I convert an Outlook 2007 .pst file to Outlook 2002 .pst f

Bob C.

I had a laptop that came with Office 2007 and it started acting really funky
so I backed up all my data on a blank dvd-r. Today, my buddy bought my
laptop from me and so I deleted all my personal data from it and let him buy
it.

I now am using my old pc which only has Office XP V.2002. I have tried to
import my backed up .pst file into Outlook but it tells me that it's an
incorrect version.

Is there a way or a utility out there that can convert my .pst file from
2007 to 2002 (or at least make it compatible)? If not, is there another way
to accomplish this?

Please help as I'm at my wits end right now with this.

Thanks a bunch!

The simplest thing to do would be to locate a machine with Outlook 2003 or
2007, attach this .PST to it, create an older format (Outlook 97-2002) .PST
file, then drag and drop everything into it. You can then take this file to
your Outlook 2002 machine, connect to it, and go on about your business.
Barring that, there are commercial utilities that will do the conversion:
