How can I convert a scanned PDF paper document into EXCEL format.

I am attempting to convert a PDF document directly into an EXCEL worksheet.
The data does not appear to be deliminated and is all bunched up along the
left side of the worksheet. Will appreciate any help. Tks.
 
Tks for your reply. I tried Data-Text and it helped some with the first 10
lines of data. Then the data below that was still scrambled. Maybe I can get
supplier of data to provide EXCEL formatted data via disk or CD. Wish me
luck.
