I have a Laptop with Windows XP Pro, connected to the
network at work. At home I have a belkin wireless lan, at
the moment if I want to see shared files on my Home PC
from my laptop I have to change the TCP/IP properties (IP
address, etc..) manually each time. I've tried to create
seperate logons, for both Home and Work, but each time
once the TCP/IP settings have been changed they stayed
changed. Is it possible to create a logon for home and one
for work, so I don't have to change the TCP properties
manually each time.

Hi,

I assume that you mean you connect to your work network
via wireless and to your home network via wireless.

If the wireless card is set to DHCP then it should get
assigned a correct I.P address when you switch it on
(whether at work or at home).

Please provide more details about the network card that
your laptop has and how they are configured (i.e. get I.P
automatically or set an I.P address manually).

Regards,

Tim

you may also be able to set the second configuration
under LAN connection/properties/tcp-
ip/properties/alternate configuration tab
