How can I change lable information in an existing document

I created labels for my rolodex (approximately 500) using Avery Lables 5260.
I now have a new rolodex and want to print the same addresses on Avery Lable
5163, but I when I go into the existing document it won't accept my lable
changes - also, the lable format doesn't show up when I press ¶ . Any ideas?

Convert your existing label document into a mail merge source document,
using the instructions at
http://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels_into_mail_merge.htm. Then merge that
source to new labels, using the 5163 stock in the new main document.
