How can a picture that displays on slides display on handouts?

Have you tried the "Notes Pages" option? In the print dialog, under PRINT
WHAT, choose NOTES PAGES. This is a small thumbnail of the slide and then
the notes content.

Pictures do display on handouts, what is your problem exactly?
