How backup/restore mail folders?

With Vista Home Pro (32-bit) how can I backup my two user's mail folders
and, if needed, restore them in case I need to recover/rebuild my computer?
I did it all the time with XP but I think it's quite a bit different with
Vista.
I did a search in this newsgroup plus on the Microsoft website but did not
come up with anything.

Thanks,
Walter

There's a section on Windows Mail here:

I backed all my stuff up to an external hard drive. It was days until I hit
upon it. I hit backup/restore in the control panel, then advanced restore,
and advanced restore again. "What do you want to restore"..hit files from a
backup. It will list your backup drives. Find it and hit next, a list of
backups will appear (if you've backed up there before). Unclick "restore
everything" if it's marked...a select files and folders will appear. I hit
search, then *.eml It brought up all the backed up e-mails. Do *.fol
and it will show the folders. Select what you want, then next. Decide where
you want them sent. Gettintg the folder first helps but it took me a bit to
find them then get them into the windows mail by copy and paste on the
explorer. The e-mails then went into the folders. Took a couple of times for
me as I am not a genius at this stuff, but I did find it.
