How an I copy spreadsheet info onto a template?

In the old XP I was able to opy info from an Excel spreadsheet onto an
invoice template. I now cannot do it in Vista. Any suggestions? Thanks a
lot
 
What happens when you try?

If you Paste Special, does that make a difference?
