FP 2000, Windows XP
In a group photo, I want to add hotspots for each individual person and
have Alternative Text pop up when the mouse is over that hotspot.

Thanks Tom, I downloaded the HotSpot ToolTips. On my page I have
a group photo that I want to point to a face and have the alternate text
identify that individual. When I attempt to open the Tooltip, it indicates
that
"No image maps found on this page". I didn't see any reference at Jimco
where help might be available.
Earl

T

Thomas A. Rowe

I think you have to first make the image a imagemap with your hotspot links, then use the Jimco app
to add the tooltips to the hotspots.

If I'm understanding image map, the image is a .gif file, and it the entire
image
was already a hyperlink to another page. Using the FP Help method and the
Jimco tool tip, still could not make individual/multiple hotspots.

A hotspot is only a part of the image and can't be applied if the entire image already has a link

OK, I removed the image's link. Each time I add a hotspot, I'm prompted to
create a hyperlink. I create a meaningless hyperlink, come back to the
hotspot
and go to its properties and I'm taken to "Edit Hyperlink". I never get to
a point
where I can add "Alternate Text". Again, I'm using FP2000. On one of MS's
KB pages it appears that perhaps a later version of FP might have this
capability??

FP2000 doesn't have that ability, that is where the Jimco add-in comes in for working with hotspots.

I still can't get the Jimco Hot Spot to work. Any sample available where I
could view the source and perhaps edit/add in html?
