HOTMAIL will not open MS Word documents automatically

Ever since I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003,
when I click on an Attachment in MS HOTMAIL, MS Word does
not open automatically. I have to go back, open MS Word
on the desktop, and then click on the HOtmail attachment
before it will open successfully.

It is the height of folly to open a document directly from an attachment and
your PC is trying to protect you from yourself.
Not only would it open as a temporary file, but you leave yourself wide open
to virus attack. Right click the attachment and save to a hard disc
location - the desktop will do if you must.
