Hotmail sent folder recover?

G

Gary McCready

I use Outlook 2007, and Outlook Connector, and MSN Premium (through Verizon).
Recently, for reasons I do not understand, my "SENT" folder in Hotmail would
double in size every time I logged on. I stopped after it my mailbox was
full o 12,000 emails. (I had about 700 in there). I get error messages from
Outllook telling me to upgrade to Live, but then Live would not let me. I
deleted my Hotmail account off Outlook, reinitialized but still had the same
problem. I'm now just using HTML and it is working, but I'd like to recover
my sent emails. I have a backup of pst but the only "large" backup I have of
my hotmail appears to be an OST file? I have a complete backup of my hard
drive from prior to the meltdown. Is there anyway to get my "SENT" emails
back I have a "local" backup but not sure where my sent hotmails are saved,
or in what file. The online "sent" file is totally corrupted. Any ideas?
I restored the pst file but that was only my "personals Folder", and didn't
appear to have the outlook data?? Sure would like to have copies of my sent
email. ((Thought with my careful backups of my computer and Outlook too I
could get them back. Apparently I never checked the the options on Outllook
backup to see if it was backing up hotmail...it wasn't.)) Thought this
"sent" hotmail data would be saved somewhere??

Thanks!!!

Are you searching for a tool ...

What do you think the odds are that this user, whose post is barely over two
years old, has already found a solution, or maybe just given up? Or maybe
even has updated to Outlook 2010.

Out of curiosity, does Egghead Cafe not put age warnings on the posts that
they archive? So you will know when you are responding to ancient help
requests?

I'd filter on 'Message-ID: <[email protected]>', if it
wasn't amusing to see you people spinning your wheels in the mud of time!
