Hotmail problems outlook 2007

I'm having a problem with a hotmail account using Outlook 2007. When I
attempt to sync over HTTP, I get the error 0x800ccc3e the server
responded "not implemented" I know that this could be a proxy problem,
but there is no firewall or proxy between this computer and the
internet, only a linksys router. Also, I read on another post that
hotmail stopped supporting free email accounts using Outlook and
Outlook Express, but the account was working fine, up until Friday.
Any ideas?

I got the same thing and I can receive my email but cannot forward or send
email from outlook express. I called Microsoft like the dsl company said to
do and I was told there would be a $59.95 charge for helping me fix the
problem so I said I would just do without it and maybe try to delete it and
microsoft doesn't care.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
