Hotmail login page problems

T

I have just gotten cable internet. On my laptop, windows
xp, I can type www.hotmail.com and it goes to the login
page, no problem. On my home computer windows 98, I type
in www.hotmail.com and though the address reads correctly,
it is a blank page--it will not give me the page to log
in! Comcast has tried everything, says everyone "else
gets it" and doesn't understand why it is blank for me. I
can't get to log in on msn. page either. Nada....I've
scanned for virusus, nada, downloaded latest IE6 and no
difference. Anyone here have the answer? I really hate
using outlook express to get to my hotmail....too many
limitations there...

Make certain your time, date and time zone settings are all correct.

IE Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Edit> type in

hotmail.com
msn.com
passport.net
passport.com

and Allow All Cookies for each, in turn.

..NET Passport-related pages operate as "secure sites", so see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=813444 and
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers2.htm#secure_sites.

Other times the Passport and MSN Hotmail servers are just out of whack.
