hotfixes in add/remove programs are all 21.28 megs

all of my windows xp hotfixes are 21.28 megs . i dont remember downloading any updates even close to that size.
most were only 400 kb downloads or 1 meg .i have a total of 19 hotfixes at 21.28meg each, what happend to the
400 kb updates ?

Hi Ron,

The hotfix files also contain backup copies of system files that were
replaced by the updates.

now really, is 21 megs that big a deal today? That's a drop in the
bucket. Now, back in the good ole days I had a 20 meg HARD DISK on my
first 386 , and boy was it spacious, I could keep everything I ever owned
and.....
