Hotfix QFE?

I have been experiencing an NTFS bug on XPe (as well as XPSP2) that is fixed
by Hotfix 888413. The only QFEs on the embeddedoem website seem to be
security updates. Does anyone know if this hotfix is available to XPe
developers in componentized form?

The Windows Sustained Engineering team has been componentizing security
fixes to service the repository, if this isn't a security fix i doubt
they've made it available in a component form yet. Though it's not supported
should you run into a problem, you probably could extract the file(s) from
the update and create a custom component to own the file and set a build
order dependency to build after the NTFS component to ensure yours always
"wins". You would also want to look in the update.inf to determine if there
are any registry changes required for that update as well.

Hi Andy,

Am I to understand that bugfixes for XP Pro are not available to XPe
developers until the next Service Pack (if any)? If so that's really bad
news.

Or does it take a while? If so, how long would it take for a XP-Pro bugfix
to be available on XPe? I thought there was an unsupported way to pull
XP-Pro bugfixes directly into XPe without having to wait. Maybe I was
misinformed on that too(?).

Any clarification would be appreciated, and thanks...
