Hot Fix 886491

My ABIT KV7-V motherboard system running W2k is exhibiting the problem
detailed in the subject KB. That is, booting to a blank screen when starting
the first time. The MB has a VIA chipset and AGP video. The viaagp.sys file
on the system is not the hot fix version so I need the hot fix to correct the
problem. Short of spending $99.00 for support, can I download the hotfix
somewhere?

You read the kb then contact MS if the specifics are relevent to you, you
then state you require a hotfix as mention in kb****
If the hotfix is relevent there will be no charge

Yeah, I understand that, but I'm not interested in providing my credit card
information without knowing in advance if I will be charged. The only way to
send an email is to first provide your credit card information. Thanks anyway
DL, but I will find a workaround, like replacing the MB with a different
chipset.
