Host password refused in FP

Hi folks,
I'm new to FP (2000), so maybe I'm missing something obvious, but can't
imagine what it is. When I try to publish from FP (File/Publish Web) I get
to the window asking for Name and Password, it refuses them. I know they are
right. My host techies said all is well on their end, need to 'fix it' from
FP. So, what am I missing? Seems so bone-headed simple, but I'm going
crazy! Thanks for any help.
PS: I read thorugh all the relevant posts over the past few years and can't
find any help there.

Are you trying to publish to:

http://mysite.com

or are you trying to publish to

http://www.mysite.com

Drop the www and publish to http://mysite.com -- may not be the password
that's the problem.

Just a thought.

try a new password. Sometimes mis-typing the password is the issue and
making sure the password is entered correctly will help solve the problem.

I used to have my customers change the password to password temporarily just
to see if it was a mis-type of another issue
