Horizontal Pane Appears When in E-Mail

Somehow, a horizontal pane appeared in the lower half of my screen when
trying to either Reply to an e-mail or trying to Send Message in e-mail. It
cannot be dragged further up the screen or to any other location. I want to
return it to its former position which was just underneath an e-mail to which
I was responding or, alternatively, as a new pane when Sending a Message. I
am running Windows XP. Can someone help me with this one?

It would help if we knew what email program you're using and if we knew more
avout what this window looked like.

I am using whatever the e-mail program is that comes with msn. I don't know
what it is called but I know it is not Outlook although I have the option of
using Outlook if I choose.
At the top of the screen is the e-mail I received. When I try to Reply, at
the very bottom of my screen, the horizontal pane appears that only contains
the heading icons such as Attach File, Write Message, etc., but no room
underneath on which to write a reply.
And my address book does not appear either as it used to do whenever I was
hitting Reply or Send.

I just worked out what the problem was! My husband was messing with the
computer and he minimized the screen! So now I've maximized it again and
everything is back to normal. That all these problems could be so simple to
fix!
