hooking up a record player

I have a lot of old albums how can i hook a record player to my computer so i
can transfer some of my favorits to cd's

If it is a record deck that you have, you will have to use the line out from
your pre-amplifier/amplifier.. stylus cartridges do not have enough output
of their own to be hooked up direct..
