Hi guys,

I have 2 machines networked (in theory). On has XP Pro,
the other has XP Home. From the Pro machine, I can see
the Home machine and map a drive to it. From the Home
machine, however, I can NOT see the Pro machine at all.
What's up? I have tried everything I know and more...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris,

Is the XP Pro machine running ICF or any third party firewall? You
have to turn off ICF, and you have to totally un install any third
party firewall before trying to do file sharing.

Is the XP Pro machine running Simple or Advanced file sharing?

Please describe your network with some detail. How are the machines
connected?

Please post the ipconfig listings from both machines. Start - Run -
"ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad -
copy and paste into your next post.

Cheers,
Chuck
