Home Premium doesn't resume from hibernate sometimes

I have had Vista Home Premium not recover from hibernate several times over
the last few months. The computer will play 3-4 beeps in succession and
then the monitor will never come back up and CPU light stays on. It is like
the computer gets stuck in a loop.

I reboot the PC and then it shows the "Resuming Windows" screen and then it
also gets in a loop again and does not boot. I reboot a 3rd time and then
Windows gives me the option of just booting from scratch. I choose to boot
from scratch (not using the hibernate) and the computer starts working OK
again.

Has anyone encountered this? It seems to be pretty random because the
computer recovers from hibernation more often than not.

I have this problem too. You might want to try updating your BIOS to see if
that helps.

I have the same problem. My BIOS is up to date.
If I leave the computer on and walk away for a couple of hours, sometimes
when I come back and move the trackball to wake it up, it does not wake up.
The CPU is on, the Monitor is asleep. Nothing works. I have to turn the CPU
OFF and then ON again. Some times it comes back with DO YOU WANT TO RUN in
SAFE MODE. I always select NORMAL and it comes back up.
It is driving me crazy. Sometimes as in my separate POST, the screen saver
Aquarium freezes and I have to turn the CPU off and On to get my computer
back.
