When I go on the net and open a home page (Yahoo etc.) is
is so big I can not get all the next is there a way I can
make this smaller so as I can read the whole page at
once. I just got this computer so please be patient with
me.

Click the START button and open Control Panel. Click DISPLAY|SETTINGS tab
and set the resolution to 1024 X 768. Then click on OK. That's normally
a good setting for desktops running a 17" monitor.

Lower your screen resolution in controk
panel>display>settings Pick and choose until you find
one that you like.
You are looking for a setting that looks somrthing like
this 800X600 1264X746
