I've created a web site in dsign and copied it to the remote web site ,
however even though it copies over the home page as a file I can not access
it as a home page , and am unable to access the web site from the internet ,
can anyone help please.
 
You need to publish the site to the remote server via File Menu | Publish Web / Site, not copy.
