Home page vanishing

IE home page flashes on, and then vanishes within two seconds (no error
message). By going in a "back door" (using a link to reach the Internet and
then clicking on my home page icon in the toolbar) I can connect fine. For
the remainder of the session all is hunky dory. Closed down and restarted
and all is still OK.

Tried to duplicate the issue by going through items in today's history, but
no joy. Can locate nothing in the IE NG archives. This has occurred three or
four times over the past week plus just now. Have run both Ad-aware and
Spybot.

Suggestions?

Java issue?

Tools/internet options/advanced/Microsoft VM
....only tick the JIT compiler box and leave the Java boxes un checked
(default)

Parasite?
IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.
