Home Page Detected as Hijack

Unfortunately I accepted a AntiSpyware suggestion that I
remove a 'high threat' problem 'home page hijacker'.
This is unfortunate since when I accepted the
recommendation the home page that I had selected was
removed and replaced by the MSN homepage. Note the
program never indicated it would do this - just gave the
false indication that there was a problem. Worse yet,
AntiSpyware - which has otherwise sofar proven to be a
fine product - went into my Internet Options window and
changed the computer supplied default setting for the
homepage to MSN! This is completely unacceptable, since
the program in effect was set up to lie about finding a
threat in order to hook someone to the MSN homepage.

That is really unfortunate. Antispyware has never done that to me though. I
wonder if it is possible that the page your prefer as a homepage might actually
have some attributes that can technically be considered negative, like tracking
cookies that you are okay with or something like that?

When I run spyware and i have changed the browser home
page to anything other than MSN.com. I get the report
possible browser hijack and it resets the browser and
search options. This happened after a hijack attempt
with winad.g

Any idears on how to resolve the problem ?
