Home page changing/new favorites added?

Hi everyone,
I've been having a strange problem with IE. My home page keeps changing to some strange search page and a bunch of new favorites keep getting added to my favorites list. These are sites i've never even visited before (and wouldn't visit). How do i protect my computer from these changes. I run SpyBot, AdAware and Webroot's Spy Sweeper, and yesterday I installed Norton's Personal Firewall. I assume that this is caused by some registry change or spyware, but I don't know how to get rid of it and prevent it from happening again. Thanks in advance.
