home page changes by itself

I keep setting the home page to yahoo, but it changes to
a search web site almost instantly. I searched for a
virus with norton utilities, but found none. I searched
for spy ware with Spybot, and found some and fixed them.
Once fixed, the changed home page does not open, but then
the spyware comes back and the home page changes again.
Should I deinstall IE and reinstall it? I was told by
Dell, that it will mess up the operating system and
should not be done. Any ideas?

Toni,
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Post back with the URL where you posted if you want help with your log.
